I love it! I am perfectly fluent in Portuguese, and this is an amazing way to learn! 100% amazing!!!!!!!!!

More engaging than Rosetta Stone, and less costly! I am finally learning Portuguese little by little thanks to this app.

Im a beginner with Portuguese. Any place to start is better than none. Babbel is just one tool Im using. Im enjoying it so far. I only wish it gave me better instruction on how Im doing with pronunciation.

Just a few days in and I feel like I will be fluent in no time.

So far so good. Outside of a few glitches, a well-conceived and engineered system. Much more like a course rather than a "phrase book", Babbel is what Rosetta Stone could have been if the RS developers had cared upgrade and improve their product. Your subscription gives you access to both mobile and browser environments and syncs your course progress across your devices. Nice!

This app is extremely helpful. The only thing I hoped for was more lessons. They have 5 beginner Portuguese lessons but I wish they had intermediate and advance lessons that covered more tenses in depth. Also I would recommend using what they have on their website. All of that is helpful also.

This App only works for the first step. After the first level of learning this app wont work anymore. Dont purchase to ways your space

This app always crashes it doesnt even fully get to the app just the babble screen the. It crashes

Well I loved this but Im 11 my parents said its a waste of money I wish there was just app where you dont have to pay to learn a hey language

This has quite literally replaced y Candy Crush addiction. Its replaced all games as my go-to when Im bored in line, or in a waiting room, killing time between projects at work, etc... And it has been an effective learning tool. It is worth the price.

This app is helpful, but a bit pricy for what it offers. The courses all stay at a beginners level, with simple conversations suitable for tourism. Why not expand to at least intermediate, with more complex language and grammar and some contemporary readings, songs, videos? Each lesson uses the same format, which gets boring after a while. The company should act on users feedback; I noted almost a year ago that some of the questions in my Portuguese course were in German instead of English; they promised to fix this bug but never did. Finally, beware of the automatic renewals without prior notification.

Seems like a good way to learn a language, just the app crashes a ton. This morning it was crashing non-stop, even after restarting iPad. It also hates if you need to switch apps. So yeah after all the crashes...it asks me to review it >_> Also I think its very expensive, and you cant buy a lesson to own :( I want to own it! So I can keep reviewing the same lessons, like stay current, maybe just 10-20min every so often so I dont forget, dont really think paying like $21 for 3months to be able to stay current is fair. It also needs a button to download all lessons (like everything ever) (could show size), but this would make it easier for when Im on WiFi. As for language review, would be nice to sometimes have an option to just listen and repeat. On autoplay, autolisten, ohh and please add an option to slow down the audio, some of the portuguese speakers are extremely fast and for a beginner, I can hardly make out the sounds at that speed. The IM style conversation practice is really nice. Oh well lets see if a languages noob like me can learn BR_PT.

The app is absolutely awesome for learning the language. Probably the best format Ive ever seen. The only reason I wont give it 5 stars are because the voice recognition wont work and also because the primary language has German in several of the courses.. This would be great if I already spoke German as well! Fix those two minor things and youve got yourself a five star app.

I love this app. I dont like paying subscriptions for things, but in this case I made an exception. So worth it! Finally I feel like I understand grammar concepts, and havent just memorized correct words.

I used Duolingo, which was alright, but sometimes I couldnt understand what the voice was saying (Ds would sound like Ps, etc.) because of the computerized voice. Babbel has actual Portuguese speakers saying the words, phrases, & sentences, which makes this infinitely better.

Great app for beginners but does crash a lot lately when going to the menu. Probably will work better with the update to iOS 8.

I have been using Babbel to practice my Portuguese. The lessons are great...emphasizing both written and spoken exercises. I have recommended Babbel to friends trying to learn Spanish and Portuguese.
